Team of 4×100 meter relay man made major changes to the formation of the team formation that will be taken to the 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines, late November. This made the team not set a high target in the biggest Games in Southeast Asia.

The squad consisted of Joko Adi Kuncoro, Eko Rimbawan, M Bisma Diwa, and two junior athletes Adit Rici Pradana and Adit Rico Pradana. Of the five names of the athletes only Eko Foresters who is the old face in the 4X100 meter relay. In addition, the arrival of two junior athletes Rici and Rico were also taken into consideration.

Thus the national training team did not dare to target grandiose targets. Athletes are only expected to be at least equal to or even exceed the record time at the 2017 SEA Games.

“Yes, I think with this new team, hopefully it can (record time) 39.05 seconds,” said Athletic Pelatnas Head Coach Eni Nuraeni was quoted by Sport.tempo.co.

With these nicks, Indonesia has won a silver medal. While Thailand became the fastest with a record time of 38.90 seconds.

However, the target is clearly far when compared with the time recorded by the 2018 Asian Games relay team which was strengthened by Fadlin, Eko Rimbawan, Bayu Kertanegara and Muhammad Zohri. Where at that time Indonesia managed to come out as runner up with a record time of 38.77 seconds. Or the difference of 0.13 seconds from the 2017 Sea Games gold medalist.

Meanwhile two junior athletes Rici and Rico seized Eni’s concentration. Because both are still green, the national training team also gave special treatment to two twin athletes.

-“Our team of coaches always gives input so that they are not depressed. The seniors are also embracing them, “Eni said.
