The Indonesian cycling world once had a driver who until now his achievements are quite difficult to pass. He is Hendrik Brocks, a man from Sukabumi who gave 3 gold medals at the Asian Games Jakarta, 1962.
At the 1962 Asian Games, Indonesian cycling athletes won 3 gold medals from 4 contested numbers. Brocks later named Indonesia Hendra Gunawan by President Sukarno won gold in the open road race, road race team with Aming Priatna and Wahju Wahdini, and team time trial with Wahju Wahdini, Hasjim Roesli, and Aming Priatna. The only gold medal that loose is the road race that fell to the Thai drivers.
In the Olympic arena, Brocks had dropped at the 1960 Rome Olympics and Mexico City in 1968. At the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, Indonesian athletes could not participate due to political issues.
