In the covid-19 pandemic, the athletes shooting the Indonesian Team continued to undergo a national training camp (Pelatnas) at the Senayan Shooting Field in Jakarta.
“PB Perbakin is currently undergoing training at the Senayan Shoot Field. Before holding the training, we have already sprayed disinfectants in the field,” PB Perbakin Secretary General Firtian Judiswandarta said during a video conference with the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) and the media in Jakarta on Friday, Friday. as reported by Antara.
Currently there are 10 shooting athletes who are focused on undergoing Pelatnas. They are not me in preparation for the Tokyo Olympics, but also the 2022 Youth Olympic Games which will take place in Senegal.
Many of the Indonesian Team shooters who were originally to take part in the qualification championship were at the same time a test event before competing in the Tokyo Olympics. Tournaments that should be followed include the Olympic Test Event in Tokyo April 16-26, the ISSF World Championship in Germany 2-9 June and TC in Hannover Germany, next July.
However, all these agendas had to be canceled by the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF), related to the global condition of the co-19 pandemic that had not yet ended.
Parent shooting sports in the country (PB Perbakin) itself, until now still awaiting the announcement of the Tokyo Olympic wildcard rations from the ISSF which is likely to be announced at the end of May.
“So we hope that wildcard is the only hope if the 2020 qualification is eliminated,” he said.
Of the 360 Tokyo Olympic tickets, ISSF provides 24 quota between as invitation tickets, or wildcards for each eligible country.
PB Perbakin himself has temporarily passed Vidya Rafika to the Tokyo Olympics in the women’s 10m air rifle. It is expected that by Perbakin, they can add one more athlete through Fathur Gustafian from the men’s 10m air rifle.
