Lifter Indonesia, Windy Cantika Aisah won the gold medal in the weightlifting branch. Down at 49 kg, the lifter born in 2002 defeated Phyo Pyae Pyae from Myanmar and Ngo Thi Quyen from Vietnam at Ninoy Aquino Stadium, Manila, today (2/11). The gold medal obtained by Windy is the third gold medal for Indonesia at the 2019 SEA Games. This gold acquisition is also the first gold from the weightlifting branch.
In addition to winning the gold medal, Windy managed to break the world record of teenagers in the 49 kg class. This lifter from Bandung broke the record in his own name which he printed at the Asian junior Championship which was held in Pyongyang, North Korea, October 2019. At that time, Windy managed to lift 84 kg in Snatch, 102 kg in Clean and Jerk, with a total of 186 kg.
In Manila, Windy managed to improve his own world record. In the Snatch force, Windy was able to lift 86 kg and lift 104 kg in the Clean and Jerk force, with a total force of 190 kg.
