Football is the most popular sport in Indonesia. Unfortunately, football has not been able to speak much in the international arena, both regionally and globally. Two gold medals at the SEA Games are a difficult achievement to be repeated.
One of the players who ever brought Indonesia to victory in the SEA Games is Robby Darwis. The man who was born in Lembang, October 30th, 1964 became part of the Garuda’s gold-ridden Squad in the SEA Games 1987 and 1991.
Robby Darwis is a living legend for his club PERSIB Bandung. Three titles of union competition and one title in Indonesian League (Liga Indonesia) successfully dedicated for the team from the Flower City. His expertise in playing and leading a team made Robby Darwis a player subscription to the Indonesian National Team in the era of the 90s.
At the 1986 Asian Games in Seoul, Robby Darwis together with the Indonesian National Team work together to carry the name of the country. Unfortunately, Robby and his fellow team mates can only match the achievement of the Indonesian National Team in 1958 with 4 ranks of the tournament.
