Present at the Asian Games 2014 in Incheon City, South Korea, the Indonesian team waded through its 17th Asian Games throughout history.Led by flag carrier I Nyoman Siman Sudartawa, 186 athletes and 12 official enliven the opening ceremony at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium, September 19, 2014.

From the 23 sports that Indonesia participated in Incheon,10 sports won a medal.The three sports are badminton, athletic, and wushu recorded to donate gold.

In athletic, Maria Natalia Londa managed to donate 1 gold in the women’s long jump. In the branch, Maria beat her competitors, Bui Thi Thu Thao from Vietnam who won silver and Yanfei Jiang of China who won bronze.

At the Wushu branch, Juwita Niza Wasni grabbed the gold medal in the Nanquan class for women.Juwita, who won a silver in a silver medal but later winning gold medalist Tai Cheau Xuen of China was declared potentially doping and disqualified from the match.

Badminton managed to donate 2 gold from women’s double in behalf of Greysia Polii and Nitya Krishinda Maheswari and men’s double in behalf of Muhammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan. In the final, the women’s doubles Greysia and Nitya managed to defeat the struggle of Misaki Matsutomo and Ayaka Takahashi from Japan with a score of 21-15, 21-9. In men’s double, M Ahsan dan Hendra Setiawan able to defeat the host Lee Yong-dae dan Yoo Yeong-seong with a score 21-16, 16-21, 21-17.

From the medals count until the last day, Indonesia ranked 17th with 4 gold, 5 silver and 11 bronze medals.
