Central Java XV Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) in 2018 is officially opened on Friday (10/19/2018). In Central Java 2018 this province has 46 sports (Sports) which were attended by 6,346 athletes.
With the ongoing Central Java XV Provincial Sports Week in 2018 this Central Java’s Governor, Ganjar Pranowo hopes to 35 participating districts / cities to build Indonesian sports through Central Java.
“I want to show the achievements of the best athletes who will compete in the national and international classes,” Ganjar said when carrying out the Central Java Provincial Sports Week XV opening in 2018 at the Sriwedari Solo Stadium, reported by Kompas.com.
Ganjar revealed, sports now have received serious attention from the government. They don’t just get a bonus, their future is also being noticed.
“Mr Jokowi with extraordinary attention really pay attention to Indonesian athletes. Not just the number, the future, and the desired profession. But how he delivers, give wages or medals before the sweat dries from athletes, “said Ganjar.
“Hopefully the Provincial Government, City Government, Regency Government will also imitate Mr. Jokowi’s actions so that our athletes are proud of ora entek-entek (inexhaustible),” he added.
Not only makes Indonesia proud at the world stage. Through sports it is also able to reduce the political temperature that is heating up because all of them show achievement, pride, and a sense of peace.
“This sport that can tear emotions, be proud, excel, keep on having healthy competition and there is a sad mood, proud tears because achievements have not been achieved. “Sport is really amazing,” said Ganjar.
For information, Central Java Provincial Sports Week XV which lasted until the 25th of October followed by 6,343 athletes, 1,864 officials from 35 district / city contingents, 46 sports, and 693 match numbers. During the Central Java Province Provision until October 25, 2018, contingents competed for 693 gold medals, silver medals and 952 bronze medals.
The venue for the match took place in Surakarta, Sukoharjo, Boyolali, Karanganyar, Wonogiri, Sragen, Blora, Magelang and the City of Semarang.
