National swimmers are still the best in Indonesia. In the 2nd event of the 2018 Indonesia Open Aquatic Championship which held eight final numbers at the GBK Aquatic Stadium on Saturday (12/01/2018), several Indonesian mainstay swimmers who used to compete abroad won maximum results.
In number 100 M backstroke for example, I Gede Siman Sudartawa, who appeared for the MNA club Jakarta won the title after defeating Ricky Anggawijaya who defended ESC (57.62), and Farrel Armandio from the Kraken club AQ got bronze (57.65).
The 2nd Indonesia Tournament of Open Aquatic Championship is the largest water sports championship in Indonesia. A total of 2000 participants were involved in the championship held in Jakarta. This event is also a venue for players to go to the SEA Games national training 2019.
