A+ Grade for Asian Games 2018


The success of the Asian Games 2018 has received appreciation from many parties, including the government. Through Vice President Jusuf Kalla, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia gave high grades for holding of the Asian Games 2018.

This assessment was obtained after the government conducted an evaluation meeting of the Asian Games 2018 at the vice presidential palace, Jakarta. In addition of being attended by the Vice President, the evaluation meeting also attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Imam Nahrawi, Minister of Communication and Information Rudiantara, and Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform Syafruddin who also served as the missionary chief of the Asian Games 2018. The Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan was also present.

As quoted from Republika, Jusuf Kalla said the organization of this Asian Games received an A, even A +. Jusuf added, this assessment was not only based on the government’s assessment, but based on the positive appreciation given by participants from other countries.

“If in school there is (grade) A, B, C, this (Asian Games) can get A, and A + again,” said Jusuf Kalla.

In addition of organizing, the achievement aspects and facilities were also evaluated points at the meeting held Friday (12/14). In the four-year event, the Indonesian contingent managed to exceed the target set and finished 4th in the final medal standings.

In the facilities section, Jusuf Kalla said the venue used by the Asian Games remains a profitable asset.
