Khofiffah Released East Java Athletes Who Will Compete at SEA Games

East Java Governor, Khofifah Indra Parawansa released the departure of athletes from East Java who will compete at the 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines, 30 November to 11 December. In total there were 119 athletes and 29 coaches from East Java who were released at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta, on Tuesday (11/26/2019) night.

In the relaxed event, Khofiffah was accompanied by the Chairman of the DPD RI and the Chairperson of the KONI East Java Association of East Java La Nyala Mattalitti, Deputy Chair of KONI Sarwono, Deputy of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Yuni and Chairman of the East Java KONI Erlangga Satria Agung.

Kofiffah should be proud because East Java athletes spawn many talented talents from various sports. As from the tennis branch, where eight out of 10 athletes who left for the Philippines came from East Java. In this release the first Female Governor in East Java had the opportunity to meet face-to-face with the athletes who were leaving. He advised the East Java athlete to raise the Saka Merah Putih as high as possible.

“East Java athletes must be able to fly the red and white flag and mark Indonesia there, get as much gold as possible and make Indonesia proud in the eyes of the world through your achievements. I am sure East Java is capable,” Khofifah said as reported by Tribbunnews.com.

In addition to athletes, Khofifah also gave advice to the coaches who would escort. He asked the trainers to continue to be able to motivate and nurture until the last day later.
“On behalf of the East Java Provincial Government, I congratulate you on carrying out the duties of your beloved nation and country. We all, pray that all athletes achieve the best results for Indonesia. Keep up the spirit, cohesiveness and sportsmanship,” he said.

Besides giving advice, Khofifah also handed over pocket money to the athletes. In addition he also prepared a number of bonuses for athletes who excel.

The plan of all athletes will depart for Manila, Philippines on Thursday (11/28/2019). It will still be estimated that the number will not be full because there are some sports who decide to leave first.
