The sports branch of Duathlon donated a gold medal to Indonesia on the second day of the 2019 SEA Games. This medal was awarded by Johar Jauhari who won gold in Subic Bay, Subic, Philippines, Monday (2/12).
Duathlon is a sport that combines running and bicycle racing. Jauhari became the fastest in touching the finish line after struggling for 52 minutes and 51 seconds. The silver branch of the duathlon branch was won by athlete Joey de Los Reyes and the bronze medal was obtained by Nattawut Srinate from Thailand. Quoted from ANTARA, Jauhari thanked all the people of Indonesia.
“Thank you to all the people of Indonesia so that the triathlon and duathlon can contribute medals,” Jauhari was quoted as saying by ANTARA.
This victory completes the success of the athletics branch which contributed a medal to Indonesia. On the first day, the triathlon branch donated two bronze medals, each obtained from men’s and women’s numbers.
