Indonesia Wins 3 Medals at the 2019 Asian Para Archery Championships

Indonesia won 1 gold and 2 bronze medals in the 2019 Asian Para Archery Championships archery tournament. The tournament was held at the Archery Range at the Sports Authority of Thailand, Bangkok, Thailand. The tournament, which was held from 19 to 26 October 2019, served as a qualification round for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic.

Gold for Indonesia was won from the Recurve Putra Team number, which was inhabited by Robertus Dio Prasetyanto, Muh Hidayatul Abror, and Setiawan. In the final, Indonesia succeeded in eliminating the South Korean team with a landslide 6-0.

Two bronze medals were won from the Mixed Recurve Team number and the Men’s Compound number. In the Mixed Recurve Team, Vironika Ninik Umardyani and Setiawan won bronze after defeating hosts Thailand 5-3. In this number, gold and silver medals were won by China and Japan.

In Men’s Compound number, Fitrianyah won bronze after defeating Malaysian archer Wiro Julin with a score of 146-136. Gold and silver medals from this number were won by Zihao He from China and Hadi Nori from Iran.

With the achievement of 1 gold and 2 bronze medals, Indonesia is at number 4 of the tournament final standings. Above Indonesia is inhabited by China, Japan, and athletes from the World Archeries.
