The implementation of the Large-Scale Social Restriction (PSBB) regulation in DKI Jakarta does not affect the Pelatnas program of archery which is implemented in the Gelora Bung Karno area (GBK).
“For the time being it has not had an impact because we are only 8 athletes, and in the implementation of the national training plate we are still implementing the health protocol issued by the Ministry of Youth and Sports,” Secretary General of Perpani Nyak Amir was quoted as saying from Tempo.
In his view, the schedule and intensity of the exercise are already running, according to what has been programmed. Perpani, continued Amir, also communicates intensely with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, as well as managers of the GBK Complex.
“Regarding the schedule and intensity of training, it will continue according to what has been determined and always coordinate with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the GBK directors,” he said.
Regarding the current implementation of the PSBB, the Ministry of Youth and Sports is not too concerned about its impact on the sports training center that is taking place in Jakarta. The Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Gatot S Dewa Broto, conveyed that the federation officials for each sport have certainly prepared anticipatory steps.
“PSBB in DKI is not the first time, the other day was also three months,” he said.
Gatot added, sports administrators are used to implementing standard health protocols in accordance with government and WHO regulations, in order to protect themselves from the spread of Covid-19.
“So the point is friends in sports have memorized what restrictions must be done,” he said.
The National Archery Training Center, which is projected to face the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, has been held by Perpani since August 2, 2020 and will end on December 31, 2020.
