The world of Indonesian athletics seems to give a bright hope. In the Pole Vauting, Diva Renatta Jayadi won the gold medal in the 2018 Asian Youth Olympic Qualification that held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Jakarta-born teenager, December 24, 2002 was successfully qualified to the Youth Olympics that will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in October 2018. With a 3.6 meter high jump, the Diva defeated rival Yana Toibaye from Kazakhstan and Cherulin Jia Yi Sia from Singapore, July 5, 2018.
Beside Diva, another Indonesian athlete Adi Ramli, also qualifed a day before. The Central Java athlete qualified for the men’s 100 meters after finishing in 8th place in the final. Under the terms of the world’s athletic organization, the IAAF, sets the 8 best Asian athletes of both men and women at 100m, to qualify for the Olympics.
