Supported by Pertamina, the Indonesian Team Cast Achievements at the Youth Olympic Games 2018


PT Pertamina (Persero) ‘s support for the IndonesianTeam competing in the Youth Olympic Games 2018 in Buenos Aries, Argentina, yielded results. The achievement was incised by Nur Vinatasari, a young weightlifting athlete, who brought home a bronze medal for the women’s number 53 kg.

The young Indonesian athlete representatives competed in the Youth Olympic Games 2018, which took place on 6th-18th October 2018. The Indonesian team sent 17 athletes and 8 officials to participate in athletic sports, badminton, swimming, basketball 3 × 3, beach volleyball , shoot and lift weight.

Pertamina’s Corporate Communication Vice President, Adiatma Sardjito, stated that Pertamina’s support for these young athletes was one form of the company’s commitment to the development and efforts to print the next generation of athletes who performed well from an early age.

“As one of Pertamina’s contributions in the world of sports, we hope that athletes can gain experience competing internationally and can score good achievements. We see these young athletes as the seeds of the nation’s future athletes and are expected to continue to be honed through various international matches including the Olympic event. Of course, the achievements obtained this year, we hope to be able to be increased again at the upcoming meeting, “Adiatma said.

The Youth Olympic Games 2018, is the third event, followed by athletes aged 14 to 18 by competing with 32 sports. The Youth Olympic Games, also known as the Summer Youth Olympic Games, are four-year sports competitions that are attended by all participants from all over the world initiated by the International Olympic Committee. The Youth Olympic Games were first held in 2010 in Singapore.
