The National Sports Standards and Accreditation Agency (Badan Standarisasi dan Akreditasi Keolahragaan Nasional-BSANK) held training again to improve the competency of sports. The event which took place at Twin Plaza Hotel, Tomang, West Jakarta, lasted for three days since Wednesday (10/17) last week.
The training was attended by representatives of number of sports and associations including: Muaythai, badminton, BMX bicycle racing, squash, weight lifting, rowing, billiards and wrestling. In addition, representatives of nutrition associations are also included.
Reported from Tribunnews.com, BSANK Commissioner, Hani Hasjim, M.A, said that the purpose of this training was to help accelerate national sports achievement. “BSANK will accompany sports in an effort to achieve optimal achievements of athletes,” he said.
Hani Hasjim who was accompanied by two other BSANK commissioners, Sonny Teguh Trilaksono and Lily Greta Carmel, at the opening of the training further elaborated on 10 requirements that must be met by sports to obtain the accreditation and certification. Among other things, organizational management, quality control systems, facilities & infrastructure, internal audit-review and improvement, control of record-management documentation, and code of ethics.
As the person in charge of the activity, Hani Hasjim also explained the outline of this sports competency improvement event to the participants. After an internal meeting on the discussion of assessment instruments with the assessors, the first session of this activity on Wednesday night was a presentation on quality guidelines, exposure to standard operation procedure (SOP), followed by group division.
