At the Regional Sports Week (Porda) XIII / 2018 in Bogor Regency, a good achievement successfully inscribed by one of the female archery athletes from Sumedang District, Ratih Zilizati Fadhly, with her success in winning the gold medal at the event. Taking place at the Archery Field of the Pakansari Stadium, Cibinong, Bogor Regency, Thursday (11/10/2018), Ratih who’s not superior from the start was surprisingly able to appear consistently in the final.
Interestingly, as reported by Pikiranrakyat.com, Ratih managed to outperform her senior Sri Ranti, who is the archery SEA Games 2017 champion. For this achievement, Ratih also felt grateful to be able to write her best record in the Porda XIII / 2018. What’s more, I’m just Ratih, this victory is the best achievement in the archery arena, while at the same time redeeming her failure at Porda XII / 2014 in Bekasi Regency.
At that time, she has to settle for getting a silver medal after being defeated by Sri Ranti in the women’s final compound.
“I’m certainly nervous since Sri Ranti is my senior, she’s been playing archery longer than me, and even won the SEA Games gold medal and performed at the Asian Games too. But I tried to focus and fully concentrate, of course I pray too. Just play it off and sure you can, the result is thank God (gold), “said Ratih.
“This is my highest achievement in Porda(Regional Sports Week). Previously, under Sri Ranti, my teammate won silver PON 2016, “said the 21-year-old athlete.
The gold medal won by Ratih is the inaugural gold medal for the Regency Sumedang after eight of the 12 archery numbers have been completed. Sumedang Regency Archery Coach Dennie Novijanto admitted, Ratih’s success in defeating Sri Ranti becomes a surprise.
“Actually, Ranti is not our superior for the gold medalist originally only projected to win a silver medal because she shares a number with the SEA Games champion. But sports always bring surprises and we are grateful that Ratih’s success was a surprise, “Dennie said.
Meanwhile, on Porda(Pekan Olahraga Daerah-Regional Sports Week) XIII / 2018, a total of 12 gold medals were provided for contested.
