Good news comes from the sport of bicycle racing. One of Indonesia’s best sons, Bernard Benyamin van Aert successfully raised the Saka Merah Putih at Jincheon in South Korea after gaining two medals at the Asian Track Championship. These results will be valuable capital towards the 2019 ASEAN Games.
The West Kalimantan originator won a medal from the point race number (silver medal) and scratch race number (bronze). Bernard claimed his hard work during the training period paid off completely with this result. He also claimed to be happy to offer the best results to Mother Earth.
“My achievement is one of history for Indonesian bicycle races at the Asian level. For the first time getting a medal in an elite class, “he explained.
At the point race number, Bernard shared the podium with the host representatives Kim Eu-ro (gold) and Roman Vassolenkov (bronze) from Kazakhstan. While in the scratch race number he became third after being surpassed by Hong Kong representatives, Mow Ching Yin (gold) and Kazakhstan’s Artyom Zakharov (silver).
