In the match held at Europe Pavilion, Buenos Aires, Nur managed to reach a total force of 162 kg. This figure is below the Romanian lifter who won gold, Sabina Baltag and Kely Valentina Junkar Acero from Colombia who won silver.
As quoted from Tempo.co, Vina claimed that she’s proud of the results she has achieved. A young woman who was born in 2001, hopes that her achievement can be a motivation for other young Indonesians.
“I am proud, I hope it can be a motivation for other Indonesian young people to be able to give the best to the nation and the country,” Vina said. Vina’s achievements match other Indonesian lifter achievements at the Youth Olympic Games 2010 (YOG 2010). At that time, Dewi Safitri won bronze in the same class. At YOG 2014, Indonesia also won bronze through badminton men’s singles on behalf of Anthony Ginting.
This achievement makes YOG’s Indonesian Chef de Mission Team, Dito Ario happy and he also hopes this could be the opening for other branches to win medals. “These results match the achievements of the previous YOG 2014 in Nanjing, China, and hope to grow again, there are several more sports that have the potential to bring the nation’s name to prominence,” Dito said, at tempo.com
